No Matter how diligent we are at FiveRedwoods we need to come to the realization that our products will and do create waste and pollution. It is our goal to give back to the environment in any way we can. Not so much as a charity, but as a way of taxing ourselves for using the Earth’s resources.
At FiveRedwoods we have chosen 3 organizations to give a little back to:

Tees 4 Trees
Over 1/5 of our population experience a National Park or monument every year. These great wilderness areas, designated for their natural beauty are dwindling at an alarming rate. From natural wildfires to years of underfunding and external threats such as air pollution, arson and climate change are starting to take their toll. At FiveRedwoods we want to keep our National Parks around for a long time, so we have decided for every 10 shirts we sell we will plant a tree in one of our National Forests through the Arbor Day Foundation. Research and experience has shown that the restoration of entire ecosystems is most possible in regions where parts or at least remnants of the original forest still remain. And we hope that by working with the Arbor day foundation this stays true, and by planting a tree we will hopefully help rebuild a Forest.

1% for the planet
By Joining 1% for the planet we are taking the lead as a business in environmental awareness. We understand that sustainability is fundamental and ultimately the key to success to our business.
Since its inception in 2002, 1% For the Planet has become one of the largest funders of environmental work around. As of Spring 2008, 1% FTP has given over $12 million annually to almost 1,500 environmental groups worldwide. To date, 1% FTP has initiated over $30 million in environmental giving.
We are proud to be involved with this organization, and we hope by being a part of it we will encourage others to also become involved.

Save the Redwoods
By donating to Save the Redwoods League we want to help protect and restore the ancient redwood forest and the redwood forest ecosystem. Through our donations and the donations of all their members, they have protected more then 181,000 acres of forest and they have helped develop 59 redwood parks and reserves.
Here at FiveRedwoods we hope that our continued donations to this outstanding organization will help preserve an amazing ecosystem.
